Aberglasney can be found nestled in the beautiful Towy Valley of Wales. Located near the village of Llangathen in Carmarthenshire. Open throughout the year, with no need to pre-book, it is a marvellous destination.

Shop & Plant Sales

Our shop sells a wide range of products from gardening tools to homeware, greeting cards and toiletries. We stock many local products such as the award winning jams, perserves and chutneys by Little Grandma’s Kitchens, along with Wickedly Welsh chocolate, Mel Gwenyn Gruffydd honey, Morgan’s Brew Tea and Teifi coffee plus beautiful essential oil soaps from the Welsh Valley Soapery.

Additionally there is a good selection of Welsh language children’s books plus local travel and Welsh history books to delve into.

We also have a plant sales area, with plants picked by our Head Gardener, to ensure we always have seasonal offerings to help you grow your garden.

Admission to the shop and plant sales area is FREE.

Aberglasney Members are eligible for a 10% discount on all purchases (please present your Membership card at the till).

Gift Aid

If you are a UK tax payer and pay sufficient Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax, then we would be grateful if you would Gift Aid your admission for you and your family members so that we can claim 25% of the value of your admission from HMRC.

Voluntary Donation

If you do not wish to pay a voluntary charity donation to the Aberglasney Restoration Trust, the admission price becomes £13.15 for an adult (aged 17+).

Frequently Asked Questions

There is no need to book in advance – tickets can be purchased at the shop.

Dogs are not permitted into the Gardens with the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs.

We recommend visitors to wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

Free Wi-Fi is available at Aberglasney with hot spots located in the Mansion, Tearooms, Cloister Garden, and outside the Old Piggeries

Our Tearooms are open, and serving a full menu. There is no need to book, unless you would like to enjoy Sunday lunch.

Aberglasney has been designed to be as accessible as possible, out map features a step free route around that garden and all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. Though please be aware that due to the nature of the Gardens some paths have a steep incline.
