Just a short drive away you’ll find some of Wales’ best castles including Dinefwr Castle, Dryslwyn Castle, Carreg Cennen, Laugharne Castle and Llansteffan Castle. The nearby beautiful market town of Llandeilo is the gateway to the Brecon Beacons National Park, and is a lovely place to shop and eat. The county town of Carmarthen is just 12 miles away. Also within easy reach is Dylan Thomas’s Boathouse, the National Trust’s Dinefwr Park, Dolaucothi Goldmines and Paxton's Tower, as well as the National Botanic Garden of Wales. For those happy to travel a little further, the legendary coastline of Pembrokeshire and the Gower Peninsula are both lovely day-trips.
