Training Opportunities

We’re proud to offer a wide range of training opportunities for learners of all levels and are able to cater for any desired placement length, both short and long term. International applicants are very welcome at Aberglasney, and we’re pleased to provide safe on-site accommodation for our students.

Our training covers a wide range of subjects including garden maintenance, machinery, and health & safety as well as specialist training in meadow management, specialist bulb planting, and a variety of propagation methods.

Since our gardens are ever evolving, we’re often able to provide students with unique and valuable opportunities to participate in significant landscape projects. Recent examples include our Valley Garden and Clematis Arbor where students were instrumental in their development and construction.

Students will work closely with our gardens team, and have regular contact with our Head Gardener, providing a safe and supportive learning environment whilst allowing them to learn first-hand from experienced professionals. They will also work alongside students from different training programmes at Aberglasney and with external students from Coleg Sir Gar and RHS courses.

If you’re hardworking, have a passion for horticulture and are looking for a rewarding personal development opportunity then we’re the place for you.

Please take a look through the opportunities listed below, and if you see something you like, get in touch with our Head Gardener and Director of Operations for further information:
