Group statement We are a craft group that is dedicated to promoting high quality arts and crafts. We were established in 2006 with the aim to assist crafts people and artists in the Carmarthenshire area to market their work.

Come and learn how to divide your favourite herbaceous perennials so that you can make the most out of what you grow. The workshop will include the four main types of division, how to lift plants, how to store them and how to plant them. Archie Smith is a teenage orchid fanatic, whose enthusiasm for these plants is contagious. His main interest is the genus Bulbophyllum. The Orchid Study Group will hold its first Orchid Day at Aberglasney Gardens on Saturday, May 16th 2020. This exciting edition to Aberglasney has been designed with both growers new to orchid growing and experienced growers in mind and will include a series of talks, demonstrations of various techniques in orchid propagation and cultivation and plenty of free advice.

Now a resident of south Wales, Robert (born 1965) is largely a self-taught artist, working mainly in mixed media using the combination of watercolour, pen & ink, oil pastel and collage. With a background in architecture (he was part of the team tasked with the completion of the cathedral at Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, the last Gothic Revival building in Britain), it is not at all surprising that the built environment is a recurrent theme in his work.

Music in the Pool Garden – Sax Pax
The first Friday night of May, June, July and August is music night at Aberglasney! The first Friday night of May, June, July and August is music night at Aberglasney! June’s band is Sax Pax, a sax quartet playing classical music as well as jazz. Sax Pax was established in 1983. The rhythm section was added a short while later and 30 years on they’re still going strong.
