Legacies

If you would like to have a more meaningful impact, create a living legacy with Aberglasney Gardens.

The Aberglasney Restoration Trust was created in 1994, to breathe life back into the gardens and mansion after decades of neglect. Thanks to the generosity of our primary benefactor, Frank Cabot, the Aberglasney estate was purchased in 1995. Through the kindness of individual donors, grants and trust funds, their collective effort enabled Aberglasney to open her doors in July 1999 after four years of painstaking restoration work.

It is of the utmost importance to the Trust that the gardens are open for all to enjoy, especially those who have contributed so much over the years. We have continued to develop different areas of the garden to reflect our growing need to allow more diverse groups to access green spaces. The Old Piggeries Project completed in 2016, transformed a derelict building into a place for learning and training now fully accessible to Coleg Sir Gar and other local groups.

What makes Aberglasney special is the ability of the Trust to revive and restore structures and spaces which were once deteriorating and forgotten.

If you want to be involved in any of our current projects, please get in touch to discuss things with one of our team and arrange a meeting.

The extent of your involvement is entirely self-guided, and you are free to donate as much as you feel is meaningful.
