The Gardens are now closed.

Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to close the Gardens to our visitors for the foreseeable future.

The coronavirus pandemic is escalating, and we have decided to close to ensure the health and safety of our staff and visitors.

Covid-19 statement

Aberglasney remains open. After carefully considering the safety of the staff and visitors by following the Government guidelines, we have decided to reduce our on-site operations and limit our offerings. We are all trying to navigate the right actions to take in this incredibly difficult situation. Like you, we are making daily decisions as to how we can keep our customers and employees safe and healthy.

Normal opening hours continue, however scheduled events have been cancelled and the shop and Tearooms will be closed until further notice. With the current restrictions, Aberglasney have reduced the rate of entry to allow visitors to still enjoy the Gardens, which offers open spaces where one can enjoy the beauty of this heritage garden in a safe environment and at a time of year when the garden is approaching its full flowering potential. We hope that visitors can enjoy the Gardens by maintaining the current 'social distancing' advice, however we are not encouraging people to gather nor are we promoting group activities.

Please continue to monitor our website and social media pages for any updates over the coming weeks, and for any health advice and guidance, please visit the government website.

Unfortunately, Aberglasney and @davidcowdry have decided to cancel his exhibition that was due to begin tomorrow, 20th March, finishing on the 26th March 2020.
To ensure the safety of David, the staff of Aberglasney, and our visitors, the exhibition and preview evening will not be taking place this year.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused, and reiterate that the Gardens are still open to visitors should you wish to visit.

We're incredibly pleased to announce that our photographer, Nigel McCall, has been chosen as one of this year's finalists with the International Garden Photographer of the Year awards. His image, 'The Last Frost' has received praise from a worldwide audience. And with over 20,000 entries annually it's one of the most premier competitions.

This isn't the first time, either! Nigel's work has attracted several notable awards from IGPOTY before. In 2018, his image, 'Morning Mist Mellow Fruitfulness' won him first place in the 'Bountiful Earth' category. We are extremely grateful to him and are thrilled about his success.
