The ultimate Aberglasney experience....
When you stay at one of Aberglasney’s two 5* holiday cottages, the Gardens are only footsteps away, so you can truly immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquillity of Aberglasney. When the sun has set, the characterful cottages are a cosy place to retreat to. The Daily Telegraph’s ‘Great Garden Sleepover’ feature (April 2016) named Aberglasney and these delightful cottages amongst the best UK gardens to stay in ‘for a taste of horticultural heaven’.
Aberglasney is spectacularly located in the heart of the Tywi Valley, a magical land of gentle green hills and iconic landmarks. Aberglasney is the perfect base from which to explore ‘The Garden of Wales’ and further afield. Just a short drive away you’ll find some of Wales’ best castles including Carreg Cennen, Dinefwr Castle, Dryslwyn Castle, Laugharne Castle and Llansteffan Castle. The nearby beautiful market town of Llandeilo is the gateway to the Brecon Beacons National Park, and is a lovely place to shop and eat. The county town of Carmarthen is just 12 miles away. Also within easy reach are Dylan Thomas’ Boathouse, The National Trust’s Dinefwr Park, Dolaucothi Goldmines and Paxton’s Tower as well as the National Botanic Garden of Wales. Find out more about Carmarthenshire at www.discovercarmarthenshire.com For those happy to travel a little further, the legendary coastline of Pembrokeshire and the Gower Peninsula are both lovely day-trips.
As well as the Tearooms at Aberglasney you will find wonderful places to eat within 8 miles, including Wright’s Food Emporium, Y Polyn, Ginhaus, and the Cawdor.
