2018 Horticulture Workshops with the Head Gardener 

Head Gardener Joseph Atkin has developed a number of horticulture workshops which are delivered in the Old Piggeries and Cow Sheds, which were restored in 2016 thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The buildings are now used as a plant production and learning/training facility. 

The workshops are designed to give you the knowledge and skills required to create your own corner of Aberglasney at home. 

The 2018 workshops are:

Thursday 1st March                          Early vegetables and flower propagation

Thursday 15th March                       Plant division for the home gardener

Thursday 29th March                       Seed sowing indoors for the home gardener

Thursday 19th July                            Stem cuttings

Thursday 4th October                      Autumn propagation

Thursday 18th October                   Bulb planting methods

Thursday 1st November                 Winter container planting

Thursday 8th November                 Outdoor propagation, cold frames cuttings and seed

Thursday 15th November              Seed collecting cleaning and storing

Thursday 6th December                 Plant division for the home gardener

Each workshop is priced at £55 per person for non-Members or £44 for Members. Refreshments and lunch are included in the ticket price.
