Friday 13th - Crocogators arrive at Aberglasney

A new art exhibiton started on friday 13th April and runs until 26th April featuring the ceramic crocogators of Anna Lawday. Crocogators are wonderful creations of reptiles with character and colour. Artist Anna Lawday is part of "The Circle of Colour" Exhibition in Aberglasney Mansion. Anna is an animal sculptor working in clay. Her unique "Crocogators" are inspired by reptiles, gothic creatures and mythical beasts.

Also featured in the exhibition are:

Philippine Sowerby who make beautiful jigsaw puzzles from natural Welsh hardwoods for grown ups and collectors. Her individual pieces are limited editions and are exquisitely designed as distinctive works of art.

Jenny Care's original paintings in oil, watercolour and pastel range from vibrant landscapes to quiet contemplative works.

Jill Derbyshire who is a textile design maker. Jill takes her inspiration from her surroundings and uses natural materials and Shibori dyeing techniques to design and produce distinctive hand-woven table linen, wall pieces and accessories in subtle colour combinations.

Christina Scurr who is showing contemporary Celtic paintings and prints inspired by ancient manuscripts as well as richly decorated traditional Shaman drums and handmade abstract paper works.

The art exhibition will run until 26 April 07.
